MISSION:

To provide monetary and non-monetary support to world-class medical research programs specifically targeted at advancing the field of pediatric diagnostic testing.

ORGANIZATION:

The Grant-A-Starr Foundation is a non-profit corporation based in Houston, Texas with the sole purpose as described in its Mission. The Foundation is a qualified tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and all donations are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code.

FUNDING PROJECTS:

The Grant-A-Starr Foundation donates all the funds it receives to leading projects that will advance diagnostic testing to save children’s lives. Projects must meet key criteria, including: 1) maintain world-class resources to advance diagnostic testing, 2) apply advancements in a patient-care environment and 3) are non-profit.

The foundation is currently dedicating all its fundraising to two critically important projects underway in the Texas Medical Center. The projects include work underway at Texas Children’s Hospital and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. See details of each project in the “Our Projects” section above.
